Yes. Save any vendor to your Shortlist (heart icon on their profile card), then view your shortlisted vendors side by side to compare pricing, availability, package inclusions and ratings. You can shortlist up to 10 vendors per category. This feature requires a free client account.
Featured vendors are premium members who have opted for enhanced visibility. The Featured badge does not affect our reviews or verification ratings — all verified vendors, featured or not, have passed our full verification process. We clearly label sponsored placements so you always know what you're seeing.
Click "Request Quote" on any vendor profile page. Fill in your event type (wedding, corporate, birthday etc.), date, guest count, venue (if known), budget range, and any specific requirements. The vendor typically responds within 24 hours. You can request quotes from multiple vendors simultaneously — there's no limit and it costs nothing.
Most vendors respond within 24 hours. Our platform Standard requires vendors to reply to all quote requests within 48 hours. If a vendor hasn't responded within 3 business days, contact our support team and we'll follow up on your behalf. Response times are displayed on each vendor profile based on recent history.
The more detail the better. Include: event type and theme, exact date and time (setup to teardown), venue name and area, guest count, your approximate budget in AED, any specific requirements (halal catering, bilingual MC, specific musical style), and photos or mood board links if relevant. Detailed briefs get more accurate quotes faster.
Absolutely. All quoted prices are starting points. Most vendors are open to discussing package customisation, especially for off-peak dates (June–August in Dubai), multiple-service bookings, or when you're booking well in advance. Be upfront about your budget and what's most important to you — vendors appreciate honest conversations and can often tailor packages accordingly.
Once you've agreed on a quote, the vendor will send you a formal proposal or contract through the platform. Review all terms, confirm your event details, then proceed to the payment step. A deposit (typically 20–50% in the Dubai market) secures your date. We recommend always confirming via the platform messaging system so there's a clear record.
Payments are made directly to vendors in AED. Most vendors accept bank transfer, credit card, and cash. eventifydubai does not process payments between clients and vendors — we facilitate the connection and communication. Always request a formal receipt or tax invoice from your vendor, which they are required to provide under UAE VAT law.
Every vendor contract should specify: exact service description, event date, time and venue, total price in AED, payment schedule, cancellation and refund terms, what happens if the vendor cancels, overtime charges, delivery/setup logistics, and both parties' signatures. Most Dubai event vendors require a 20–30% deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due 1–4 weeks before the event. For peak dates like NYE, Eid weekends and National Day, deposits of up to 50% are common. Venues for large weddings (500+ guests) at properties like InterContinental Festival City or Burj Al Arab Jumeirah may require higher commitments with a longer payment schedule.
Cancellation terms vary by vendor and are outlined in your contract. Generally: cancellations 60+ days out may receive a partial deposit refund; 30–60 days may forfeit the deposit; less than 30 days typically means no refund. We strongly recommend event cancellation insurance, which is available through several UAE insurers. If a dispute arises, our Trust & Safety team can mediate — see Trust & Safety.
After your event, you'll receive an email invitation to review your vendor. Log into your account, go to your booking history, and click "Leave Review." Reviews are verified — only confirmed bookings through the platform can leave reviews. This ensures every review you read is from a real client who actually used that vendor.
No. Vendors cannot remove or edit client reviews. We only remove reviews that contain personal attacks, discriminatory language, or are demonstrably fraudulent. Our review integrity policy means we never take payment to modify or remove reviews. Vendors may post a professional response to any review. If you believe a review violates our community guidelines, report it through the review page.
First, try to resolve the issue directly with the vendor through our platform messaging system (this creates a documented record). If you can't reach a resolution within 5 business days, submit a dispute through our Trust & Safety portal. Our team will mediate and, for serious cases, can affect the vendor's platform standing. We take all complaints seriously — 98% of disputes are resolved within 14 days.
